Hi Rob,
You're not the only one who can't believe their eyes at this tyranny,
I'm not sure how we go about fighting back against it?
I have been reading a book called "The Road to Serfdom" by F A Hayek. He explains that socialist economic planning is what ultimately led to the Nazi regime in Germany, where all individuals are subservient to the state.
It's an excellent book, but extremely scary in some ways, because I'm seeing what he warned about, played out around us, in real time. The attack on mining is an interesting part of the puzzle - mining for gold is traditionally something that has given individuals great freedom, true economic freedom where they are their own boss, working for themselves.
I haven't lost hope, and I believe that we can stop or at least slow the spread of this rot.
Hope you're keeping warm, and thanks for keeping us updated Cheers

At a fairly recent meeting at bull**** castle we were informed that there were 900 permits in NZ and they were going to trim that down drastically.
Also from an ex high level MBIE employee, that we are seen as a 19th century anachronism and our day is over.
Ilana Millers excuse for lower applications is a fop, many of us could make a good living when the price was $600.
Careful what is written here and on other forums as they track them.

If anyone wants to read the book there are online copies available with audio books available free on Youtube. As to what to do ... whatever you can do (and hope for the best ). I'm not keeping warm ... but compared to the collapse of western civilization, on the way to serfdom, keeping warm is the one thing that is easy for me to solve. Regards, Rob (RKC)

G'day, Mike Hosking lambasts the GreensNo mining allowed. The call from the Government was not surprising – but it was nevertheless wrong.
No, mining is not everyone’s cup of tea. But the simple reality is the world needs fossil fuels and mining is part of the West Coast economy.
The fundamental error the Government made was to put ferns before people, snails before work.
People and work is more important than animals and in general, land.www.whaleoil.co.nz/2018/06/mike-hosking-lambasts-the-greens/Regards, Rob (RKC)
