Thanks for that. Mine appears to be the PCD model a great help. Looks like I will need a new rider ring. Does anyone know if they are available in New Zealand. Cheers

G'day Vaughan (VJG73), I just did a Google search for GAST compressors (New Zealand) to find the address of the New Zealand importer, but, to my surprise, nothing turned up. When I was once passing through Wellington I visited a store that sold nothing but GAST equipment ... and they had in stock, at that time, the GAST PCD-10 model. Maybe its no longer imported and any parts you require will need to be brought in from overseas. If you rang around the New Zealand compressors suppliers they should be able to tell you how to get the exact part you need. Let us know how you get on. Regards, Rob (RKC)

As far as I'm aware, nobody in New Zealand sells the T 80 anymore, Miners Den in Melbourne, Aussie, sells them, better dig deep in your wallet though. If your going that way Matt make sure you have good filter, and hotwater jacket, a good friend off mine whos now down in Invercargill made alot of these back in the 80s, your body wont last many seasons in the cold water without one, even with the modern wetsuits of today.

From: RKCNZ Sent: 15/09/2008 3:09 p.m. G'day Matt ( flapperthermal ), I few years ago I emailed MacEwans (http://www.macewans.co.nz/ ) to enquire if they still sold the Thomas T80 oilless compressor and their reply email is as follows below: Dear Rob I assume you mean 80AX33 motorless diaphragm pump, this is no longer available. 1107Cx75 is closest. It is Wob-l type. (See attached file: diaphragm motorless.pdf) (See attached file: wob'l motorless.pdf) 1107CX75 Pump $884.00 Ex-stock Australia 4 weeks based on consolidated air freight shipment Please note that this price does not include GST or local freight charges & price is based on todays rate of exchange which is NZ$1.00 = AUS$0.88, any significant variation to this rate will be at your cost.
Regards Gareth Scott MacEwans Pumping Systems LTDimg.photobucket.com/albums/v172/Coochee/thomascompressors.jpg?t=122144 The model 1107Cx75 they suggest as a replacement for the T80 is a compressor I'm not familiar with and therefore I can't say if it would be suitable ... maybe someone else knows if this compressor would be OK for use on an eductor dredge. Regards, Rob (RKC)

Check out Keene catalogue for a KAC1 I think it is , Page 27. Supposed to be able to replace T80 but give 90 psi looks to be high revs though may need different pulleys than the t80
