just noticed that they qouted the gold price for an ounce at 28 grams do you kiwi,s not deal in the troy ounce of 31.1 grams

G'day nuggets, That was a poor mistake for a newspaper to make in print! Newspapers don't employ the number of 'human' proof-readers they once did and these days they tend to rely too much on only scanning the article to proof read it with software. And scanning software seems to have a problem with numbers. I once wrote an article for an American mining magazine in which I referred to a four and a quarter ounce nugget ( I typed in the article a "4 1/4 ounce nugget") ... and in the printed article it appeared as a 414 ounce nugget! I was really disapointed by the mistake and I haven't written for the magazine since. Regards, Rob (RKC)
