Why do you need DOC access for a dredging claim? I thought LINZ had jurisdiction over waterways. If its to cross marginal strip to get to your permit take a look at whitebait concessions pretty sure they dont pay.

Gidday Team.
We have just been hit with the same thing. $2,000 per annual for Industrial Intrusion That is on top of the $5,000 Cash Bond and the $250 Annual Administration Fee. Over $10,000 just for DoC. Bleeding the People dry.

Gidday, You gents should negotiate a pro-rata fee of that $2,000 per annum. Iv'e just assisted a bloke with a simialr DoC issue and the outcome we agreed on is just that. so if you mine six months a year, you pay $1,000. He was only planning 3mnths and the fee is $500.
That starts to sound better. No mining one year, no fee

Gday All, I'm a believer in fair play and I, for the love of me can't get my head around all these other Departments wanting a bite of the apple. I paid for a claim to P&M and they are the one and only Landlord I recognize and when Linz sent an invoice two years later, I told them to resend it to P&M as they are the only Landlords that I leased the claim from. I have not received any answer from them as yet. If I rented a house or property, there would be one Landlord that payment would be made to and that would be the owner, We need someone who has the expertise to take our case to the MP in charge of mining to show them how we are being screwed.
