G'day waipori, This You tube clip ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHuy-RjuNEg&feature= ) is an interesting preview of the Hoffmans latest mining attempt in South America. This current run of gold shows seem to be all about conflicts among the miners rather than the mining process, which I would personally prefer to see in a TV show about mining. But, as conflict seems to be what the producers want on screen and thus get ratings, I can't think of anything more likely to produce conflict than miners arriving in another country expecting to be able to mine alongside the locals without coming to grief in some way or another. Here is an interesting rumor ... www.nzhuntingandshooting.co.nz/f31/gold-rush-alaska-become-gold-rush-nz-2576/Regards, Rob (RKC)

For the real mining action, there is none better than National Geographic's Gold Fathers. Which features the Mudminers. Real action with none of the personal aggro of the Discovery Channels recent mining series. www.mudminers.com/TVSeries/tabid/2926/Default.aspx

G'day waipori, I watched " MODERN MARVELS Gold Mines" tonight and its well worth a look. It has some very interesting historical film of old mining techniques such as hydraulic sluicing and rocker box's. www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpLG_IEY1IIRegards, Rob (RKC)
